There are three bonus downloads when buying here in BandCamp. Included are the lyrics to 'The First Snowdrop' which are superimposed on a photograph of snowdrops from my garden. There is a photo of a self portrait of me sitting in a buttercup field and there is also a photograph intended to go with 'Mayblossom' from the track 'Hedgerow Walk'. There just wasn't room for this in the album so I thought you might like to have it anyway!

about

THE FLOWERS SUITE is a collection of eclectic tone poems and sound paintings tthat each take a flower as the starting point. From there the compositions broaden out in different ways on different tracks. The album was nominated for a ZMR 'Best Neo-Classical Album' award (2019).

‘Creeping Buttercup..pure joy..electronic sunshine.’
‘Through Iris Halls.. a tiny insect looks up into a vast, blue cathedral of a roof and an endless sky beyond..ambient, peaceful..a magical stillness..’
‘Canyons of the Black Tulip..thunder, mysterious ambient sounds..cinematic, almost heroic music - a dramatic ending to an excellent album.
Kathy Parsons - Mainly Piano

‘She weaves together marvellous sonic images that will touch your spirit and help bring you the peace of the ages..’
‘..MOST HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for this excellent and diverse musical experience..’ ‘..This creation certainly merits the strongest consideration for an award..if I were on the voting panel, it would, without question, get my vote!’
Dick Metcalf - Contemporary Fusion Reviews

‘The Flowers Suite is a triumph of sound and art for Barbara Hills..’
‘Hedgerow Walk..progressive ambient instrumental music..being painted into your consciousness..quite amazing..a great example of an artist using all of the talents and instrumentations at her disposal to create something special and memorable for the instrumental music fan.’
Keith Hannaleck - New Age Reviews
